To all Warley Wasps Members and their families - May I first say a big thank you for your continued support during 2011, it has been greatly appreciated and has helped to ensure the survival of our club. The committee and non-committee members have worked tirelessly to provide meetings, which have been expertly planned and executed. It has been an absolute pleasure to hear all of the positive comments from other club members regarding the Wasps. As a team we always endeavour to put on quality meetings for the benefit of all our riders, both young and old. It is through the hard work, determination and enthusiasm of the Warley Wasps members that this is possible. Andy Manley Chairman

Upton Court 2011

Upton Court 2012

First to test the tracks layout were the Twinshock class with Jim Shand stealing the show and a maximum points tally taking first overall. Behind, it was a closer affair with David Smith and Neil Williams who battled away achieving second and third spots respectively.

Out the gate next it was the AMX class with plenty of fast competitive racing on show. Joe Jones proved, yet again, to be the top man taking away the first overall with a maximum score card and showing he is the rider setting the pace in this class. Brad Frost and James Shand showed good pace at the front of the pack racing for second and third overall with only 2 points separating them.

Next the gate dropped for the Seniors and what an event these three races were with Scott Wintersgill and Brad Freeman storming the track from start to finish, with Scott taking 1st overall with only 1 point separating them, it was very close in all three races and some amazing style from these two. Finishing off in third place was Rob Moss.

Out to pit their whits on this very steep, sandy track were the Auto class with a packed gate of young riders. Sam Davies was again the star man seeing the chequered flag in all three of his races and he is proving to be the rider to catch so far this season. Ben White and Callum Baldwin were mixing it up in the top three finishing second and third respectively being only four points apart at the end of the day.

Dropping their clutches next were the Junior group and it was the fast starting Jack Wankling who showed the way, winning two out of the three races, with Luke Woodhouse winning the second and finishing second overall on the day. Less clear cut was the battle for third with James Hanscomb battling with Archie Hicks with James coming out on top with only a two point lead.

Next up to finish the three blocks of racing were the mixed 85 B/W and S/W with Jordan Sunders taking all three race wins in the B/W, followed by Jack Nye and Nadia Hussain. In the S/W Nathan Bache took home all three race wins with Keiron Cooke finishing 2nd and Jordan Wright finishing third.

After another successful meeting the club's next event is planned for the 11th September at Bicton, Shrewsbury another popular track.
